The day-to-day activities that most people do on a regular basis—scrolling/texting/reading on the phone, sitting at a desk, using a computer, driving in the car—all have one thing in common: the rounded-back, head-forward, front-body-closed posture. After a while, this can cause discomfort, imbalance(s), pain, and rigidity in different parts of the body. Using functional movement techniques, mobility and strengthening exercises, and yoga poses, we will “reset” our posture and become more aware of the way we hold our body, as well as our movement patterns. After the 3-week series, you’ll receive access to a short practice you can do at home that incorporates the movements we’ve done throughout the series.
Recordings of the classes are available if you can’t make all four sessions in person.

Jenn Bemis has over 900 hours of training in several different schools of yoga including Vinyasa, Hatha, Anusara, and yoga therapeutics (500RYT), and has been teaching since 2009. Jenn’s classes are infused with precise and detailed alignment cues, while keeping the fluid Vinyasa form of breath and movement within creative, mindful, and intentional sequences.
